Tree Planting Project

This is a reminder that we are going to be doing some guerrilla gardening tomorrow. I hope you can make it. Here’s the plan:

We’re going to be purchasing about 15 trees to be planted. If you would like to bring a tree to plant, Fayetteville residents with a driver’s licence and utility bill can get one free tomorrow morning. Get the details here.

In addition to a couple of specific places, we’re going to head to an older section of Springdale, in the grid between Gutensohn, Pleasant, Sunset, and Huntsville. This area was hit especially hard by the ice storm. Many houses in this area have spots in their yards where trees used to be. We’re going to be knocking on doors and – hopefully – planting some free trees for the folks.

Let’s meet at 9 am at the Vintage building. Please bring supplies such as shovels and gloves. We’ll distribute the trees, break into groups, and head out to make grace happen. I hope you can make it.
